Gilkerson Advocates that the Trustees (District) Should Make Decisions re the Writ of Mandamus and that the Four Trustees have a Clear Conflict of Interest.
Gilkerson, Wagstaff, and Kangas argue that they should continue to have decision making power with respect to the Writ of Mandamus lawsuit as the other trustees Burns, Jansen, Dickerson, and Englekirk must recuse themselves as they are part of the Writ of Mandamus lawsuit. Jansen gets nasty at the end and Burns insults Gilkerson.

Jepsen Says Quiet Part Out Loud
In this clip Joey Gilbert Law Firm attorney Kendra Jepsen explains the purpose of the Special Board Meeting - to vote to strip power from the three trustees Gilkerson, Kangas, and Wagstaff and assign power to Superintendent Alvarado with respect to the Writ of Mandamus lawsuit. The three trustees no longer have a say in making decisions to represent the best interests of the Douglas County School District. The school board majority (Burns, Jansen, Dickerson, and Englekirk) are embroiled in the lawsuit and represent a conflict of interest.

Gilkerson Advocates for Pro Bono Representation - Jansen Fires Back
Gilkerson advocates for transparency and for pro bono legal representation, making a good financial decision to save money for the district. Jepsen hesitates to explain why Sharla Hales represents a "conflict of interest" in representing the district. Jansen makes it very clear why she does not want a particular legal counsel.

March 12 Meeting Dysfunction!
During the March 12 DCSD School Board Meeting, the DCSD Trustees struggle for over 25 minutes to create motions with regards to policies on student representation. A clear example of school board dysfunction and embarassing ineptitude on the part of trustees and legal counsel. This is just one of many examples of school board dysfunction where they cannot efficiently run a proper board meeting.
